문라이트 전설은 TV애니메이션 "미소녀전사 세일러문" 시리즈의 오프닝 주제가. 1992년 3월 21일에 발매되었다.


[개요]
TV애니메이션 "미소녀전사 세일러문" 및 "미소녀전사 세일러문R"(1992년 3월 7일 방영된 1편부터 1994년 3월 12일에 방영된 제 89화 까지)의 오프닝곡으로 사용되었다.

1992년 액션즈중에서 선발된 타카하시 미스즈, 니시모토 마리, 이시자와 아키라, 츠지야 사유리 4명의 아이돌 그룹 DALI가 노래했지만 "문라이트 전설" 발매 직후 해산, 타카하시와 니시모토는 그후 MANISH를 결성.

"미소녀전사 세일러문S"및 "미소녀전사 세일러문SuperS"(1994년 3월 19일에 방영된 90편부터 1996년 3월 2일에 방영된 166편까지)에서는 문립스(사쿠라코클럽 벚꽃조)가 새로 녹음한 음원이 사용되었다.

인터넷 랭킹등에서도 1990년대 애니메이션 송으로 이곡이 오르게 된다.

이 음악은 비잉(Being inc.)에서 발주하여 사쿠라코클럽 벚꽃조에서 결성된 듀오 "KEY WEST CLUB(나카타니 미키, 아즈마 케이코)"가 발표한 "꿈은 마죠리카, 세뇨리타"의 멜로디를 커버한 것이다. 후에 KEY WEST CLUB에서도 다시 싱글로 발매하였다.

풍부하면서도 힘있고..부드러운 그녀의 목소리를 들을 수 있었다.
공연중 관객과의 재미있는 해프닝으로 웃느라 잠시 노래를 부를 수 없을 정도 :-)
