제이슨님은 일명 루게릭병인 근위축성 측색 경화증 (ALS : Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis / Lou Gehrig's Disease)으로 투병중이심.. T_T 그 와중에도 작곡하여 앨범을 발표하였고 지금은 눈의 움직임으로 의사소통만 하는 단계임. 제이슨의 모습과 가족 친구들의 인터뷰등을 담은 다큐멘터리가 2012년 3월 개봉되었다.

Directed by David Fincher 이 영화를 어처구니없게도 시카고의 한 호텔방에서 조그만 Zenith TV로 봤더랬다. ㅠㅠ 그땐 이리 잼있는걸 여태 못봤네..하며 봤더랬다. 그리고 감독이 데이비드 핀쳐인걸 알고는 역쉬!를 외쳤다. 이미 핀쳐의 Alien3에서 크게 감동 먹었었기 때문. Alien3는 시리즈중 가장 드라마틱한 영화라 생각된다. 흔히들 흥행에 실패했다고 잼없어 보일지 모르지만 작품면에서 충분히 찐했다. SF영화라기보다는 종교영화에 가깝다고 평하는 분도 있었다. 감히 Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back의 느낌이었다.
