작품상으로는 이미 지났지만
지금 이 지구에서는 현재 진행형이다.
앞으로 얼마나 많은 재해가 일어날지는
아무도 모르는 일이다.
재해에 대처하는 자세 뿐만 아니라
재해 이후 우리의 모습 (살아남은 사람들)이
이 작품에서 그리고자 한 얘기일 것이다.

..로 시작하는 「미래소년 코난」(未来少年コナン)의 원작으로 알려져 있는 「살아남은 사람들」(The Incredible Tide, 残された人々)의 작가 알렉산더 힐 케이(Alexander Hill Key, 1904-09-21~1979-07-25)!
1972년, 1978년에 영화화 되었고 2009년에는 30주년 기념 버전도 제작되었던 '초능력 외계 남매의 지구 탈출기'를 그린 소설 「마녀의 산」 Escape to Witch Mountain (1968), Return From Witch Mountain (1978)의 작가이기도 하다.

정말 멋진 곡이다! 라고 밖에 할 말이 없다.
잘 짜여진 드럼 연주와 트럼펫의 강약이 듣는 귀를 사로잡는다.
"산체스의 아이들" 다음으로 아끼는 곡이다.
거대한 바다 한 가운데에서 홀로 폭풍우에 맞서는 노련한 뱃사람의 모습이 그려지지만
왜 이 곡을 들으면 Lucifer's Friend의 Spanish Galleon (1974)이 생각날까?

그래도 역시 캡틴하록하면 미장미 줄줄 흐르는 오프닝테마가
